Welcome to our New Store - A whole different approach in 2015.  If you read the 'Journey' below you will see that what is now www.USMarket.Gallery actually started as a small cottage craft business in 1992.  Twenty-three years later (yikes!), the goal now is to bring in as many new, unique, handmade and Vintage products as we can to enhance your shopping experience!  It isn't just about Orna Mentz anymore.  So stay tuned for Preloved clothing, candles, wall decor, and anything else that fits the Apparel, Art, Gift and Home categories.  What you will NOT find here is a lot of plastic, tools or electronics.  Made in USA, Art, Artifacts, Embellishments and Vintage, that is USMarket.Gallery - Our Name is our Address!

"The Orna Mentz Journey"

In 1992, while living in Wilmington, DE, I started a small cottage business creating and selling my own designs of Victorian Style Christmas Tree Ornaments.  In 1996 I went online.  In 2002, I left my secure 9-5 job as a legal secretary and decided to try my luck as a full time entrepreneur, and did pretty well!

In 2005, I realized that in order to make the business really work, I needed to add more products to my online catalog, so I began sourcing out items which fit the Victorian theme that my handmade ornament designs embraced.  By 2006, things were going very well, so well in fact that I found myself in great need of more space, so we began to plan a move to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia. On February 14, 2007 we purchased our beautiful property located in Fancy Gap Virginia, and by July of 2007, we were fully moved in.  Later in 2007, the economy crashed, but my business growth did not seem to feel the effects, even into 2008 when I had my best year ever!

By 2009, the economy finally caught up with me and not only were my sales literally cut in half, but other vendors that I would buy from began to lose their entire businesses. It was heartbreaking to call one of them to place an order, only to find out that they were no longer there.  One after the other they went under and my online catalog began to shrink.

Ever since that time, I have continued to design new and exciting ornaments, and my business, though not what it used to be, is still very healthy.  Specifically, in 2011, I launched a line of larger sized, Swarovski Crystal encrusted, gift boxed ornaments that were instantly well received!  This line, the "Ornamentia Line" is like nothing you've ever seen before.  I LOVE making these new larger sized EXTREMELY giftable ornaments, and, in a way, not having the other products to contend with has freed me up to do what I have always loved doing the most - Designing Ornaments!   Many thanks to all of my loyal customers who keep coming back every year and Welcome to the World of Orna Mentz if this is your first time visiting!  I guarantee, you will not be disappointed!
